'If you do not make time for your wellness, you will be forced to make time for your illness' | Julie Genney
Mackenzie is the 4th generation of her family's farm. In the summer, Mackenzie helps her dad on the farm growing grain and hay for dairies. Agriculture is so important for the world's food supply. Mackenzie appreciates the value of crop health and that hard work on the farm ultimately goes to providing healthy food for the world. The world's health is similar to that of the crops her family grows: it takes hard work, determination, and your plant is only as good as what you put in to.The area that Mackenzie's family farms is currently going on a several decade battle for water. With reduced access to water for crops, it makes their commodity difficult to produce. She joined her family in a peaceful rally advocating for rights, not of just the farmers and their livelihood, but as a proponent of the crops themselves. $300 million of commodities are grown in her area - that's $300 million dollars of crops that won't ultimately make it to grocery store shelves for consumption.
