Why We're Here
Vascular disease is growing at epidemic levels throughout the country. Estimates indicate that by 2024 vascular disease will claim the lives of over two million Americans each year. The symptoms can be so diverse and confusing that patients go from doctor to doctor without ever getting an accurate diagnosis. There are hundreds of different vascular diseases but five conditions are widely known: deep venous thrombosis, peripheral arterial disease, aneurysms/dissections, coronary arterial disease, and stroke. Without an understanding of vascular disease, its impact on overall health, and awareness of its symptoms we’re all at risk.
Our mission is to educate people on the symptoms and prevention techniques for FMD, deep vein thrombosis, blood clotting, as well as other vascular diseases.

Our Story
When my mother was 8 years old she developed Fibromuscular Dysplasia, which is a life-threatening vascular disease. She suffered through two years of bloody noses, severe headaches, extremely elevated blood pressure, and nearly lost her vision before finally being diagnosed. Thankfully, my grandmother’s determination to find a cause for my mother’s symptoms saved my mother’s life. When I learned about the frustrating story of my mother’s symptoms and diagnosis I wondered if others have similar difficulty getting an accurate diagnosis. In honor of my mother and grandmother, I created Veins of Love® to educate others about vascular disease, the symptoms, and what to ask doctors about their condition.
